Video: Knives & Sharpening
It's important to work with the right tools in the kitchen and to always make sure your knives are properly sharpened. As a chef, I sharpen my knives at least once a week. The typical home cook should probably sharpen knives once a month. If you don't want to do this at home, many local grocery stores (for example, Kroger) will do this for you at their meat counter.
