Executive Chef Ryan Finnegan
Chef Ryan Finnegan brings more than 18 years of industry experience to the Ocean Prime kitchen. Originally from Ohio, he worked in a variety of restaurants starting at a young age - from server to manager to line cook - and quickly became interested in cooking and hospitality, eventually deciding to become a professional chef.
Ryan and his wife moved to Denver several years ago, and he spent time working at another prominent local steakhouse before joining the team at Ocean Prime DTC as Executive Sous Chef. When the opportunity presented itself, he jumped at the chance to join a company that puts its people first. He believes the company’s culture creates a unique atmosphere where quality permeates everything, especially the food. With his passion for the finest ingredients and attention to detail, Finnegan’s philosophy in the kitchen is sure to resonate with Ocean Prime DTC’s growing clientele, and anyone who appreciates a first-class culinary experience.
Outside the kitchen, Finnegan is a family man and loves spending time with his daughter, enjoying lazy family days and movie nights with his wife.
General Manager John Witmer
John Witmer has been with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants since 2013 starting his career at Ocean Prime Denver on Larimer Square and won Dining Room Manager of the year in 2019. He has worked in Philadelphia, helped open our NYC, DC, and DTC store, where he currently is the General Manager. Although growing up in Zanesville, Ohio and studying at the University of Vermont, the mountains were always calling. John moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2008 where he began his career in the hospitality industry. John firmly believes that the best thing about working in this industry is the social aspect and that it affords you a great lifestyle.
John says the best part about working for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Ocean Prime is that there is unlimited potential. For anyone considering a career in the hospitality industry he advises that you should always be learning and throughout all of his years in the industry, the greatest lesson he has learned is to have empathy.
When he’s not at work he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, long walks with his two dogs, and spending quality time with his wife Erin, a current associate at our Ocean Prime on Larimer Square.
Sales & Event Manager Alex Carsonie
Alex Carsonie has been with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants since 2013, starting her career has an Intern with our catering department, Cameron Mitchell Premier Events out of Columbus, Ohio. She moved through the ranks up to Sales & Event Manager before taking her career out west at the beginning of 2020. Alex graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management from The Ohio State University in 2014, but hospitality was always in her blood. Her family continues to own and operate 2 restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, where she began her career in the industry back in 2010.
Alex says the best part about working for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is how genuine the people are. For anyone considering a career in the hospitality industry, Alex advises that you invest in comfortable shoes but never get too comfortable in your day-to-day. She says one of the best parts about working in this industry is that no two days are ever the same.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys going to concerts, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
