Executive Chef Leo Harvey Jr.
Chef Leo’s love for cooking started at the young age of 15, when he took his first job in a restaurant kitchen in his hometown of Columbus, Georgia. He went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Georgia, and from there, attended the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu.
Upon graduating, Leo worked at a variety of restaurants across the country until he landed in Denver – where stints included working as a private chef for Broncos players, and at several upscale concepts.
He was introduced to Ocean Prime through a mutual friend in 2016, and shortly thereafter formally accepted a job at OP Denver and joined the Cameron Mitchell family. Leo most previously was the Executive Chef at Ocean Prime Washington D.C. and is thrilled to be in Kansas City!
General Manager Willie Nieberger
Through perseverance and hard work, William “Willie” Neiberger, has become an integral part of the Ocean Prime family. A native of Denver, Willie joined the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) family in 2011 as a server at Ocean Prime Larimer Square. In 2012, he joined the Ocean Prime Indianapolis opening team and has quickly risen through the ranks, serving as bartender and supervisor, dining room manager, and lead trainer during the openings of Ocean Prime locations in Boston and Washington, D.C. and was promoted to General Manager of Ocean Prime Indianapolis. Willie moved to Kansas City in the Fall of 2021 to open Ocean Prime Kansas City.
In addition to going above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience for guests in the dining room, Willie has also developed an appreciation for collaborating with the kitchen to craft a well-thought out beverage program. In addition to overseeing the restaurant’s Wine Spectator-honored wine list, he also helps with the creation of new cocktail features.
Willie is inspired by the energy of the cities he lives in and looks forward to growing his career as general manager by offering guests Genuine Hospitality.
When not serving his guests, Willie enjoys exploring his neighborhood, taking advantage of the city’s flourishing culinary scene and attending the plethora of musical performances the city has to offer. He also enjoys traveling and discovering top-rated golf courses.
