Since the age of 15, Chef Jason Mallon has known his way around a restaurant. Originally, from St. Augustine, Chef Jason worked every position and dug his roots in the hospitality industry during his 10 years at a casual steakhouse. Chef Jason joined the Ocean Prime family in 2009, where he has been a part of two Ocean Prime teams that have received the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ Restaurant of the Year award.
Now a leader at Ocean Prime Tampa, Chef Jason hopes to continue to embody our company culture and “walk the talk”. The best advice he could give to anyone interested in restaurants and hospitality is to always remain teachable. Always do the right thing for the right reasons and the opportunities you strive for will eventually present themselves.
When not working hard in the kitchen, Chef Jason enjoys fishing and boating, watching movies and hanging out with his wife and son.
General Manager Jonathan Pollock is no stranger to the restaurant industry. Inspired by his father’s love for travel and entertaining clients, Jonathan became very familiar with fine dining. After dining out with his family at a local steakhouse one evening, Jonathan applied at the same steakhouse that next day. After 10 years with that company and working every Front of House position, Jonathan came to join Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) in 2013 at Ocean Prime Tampa.
Throughout his years in the industry, Jonathon has learned to never give up and not to settle. “If you have a goal in mind, do everything in your power to achieve that goal. Work hard and stay focused.” Jonathan would tell anyone interested in pursuing a career in restaurants and hospitality to make sure it is something you have a passion for. If you are passionate for the industry, you will never feel like you are at work.
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of South Florida and enjoys traveling, golfing, fishing and attending concerts when not in the restaurant.
Sales and Event Manager
Growing up in her hometown of Conifer, CO, Lexi Crow found her passion for restaurants and hospitality through watching her family work in the industry her whole life. Lexi started with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) in 2014 at the Ocean Prime in Denver, where she worked with the team for two years. After leaving and exploring other industries, Lexi found her way back to Ocean Prime in Tampa. Lexi is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and Business Network International, where she received an award for the most referrals in her chapter.
Outside of work, Lexi enjoys teaching yoga and indoor cycling, hiking, going to the beach, and wine tasting with her partner, Parker. Her favorite part of being on the CMR team is that the associates and guests are treated with love and respect. Lexi’s advice to anyone looking to get involved in the restaurant and hospitality industry is to work in multiple departments and to go above and beyond to find more opportunities to learn.
